Fremantle, Australia

sunny 0 °F

Spent the afternoon walking around this old seaport town where they used to bring convicts, back when Australia itself was a prison. Pretty rough punishment, huh? "Here guys, we're leaving you on this refreshingly remote island to suffer in the beautiful sunshine and white beaches."

But yeah...watched yet another incredible sunset over the Indian Ocean, ate some fish n' chips by the harbour, and then went on the Torchlight Tour at the Fremantle Prison! We had the greatest & creepiest tour guide (a former prison guard) who we somehow trusted to lead us around in the dark, and who failed us more than once. At one point I almost wet myself when they dropped a dummy from the railings above. But it was all great fun and we walked away intact & smiling. Definitely worth the rush. :)
